Supporting Sue Ryder to Adapt Services

Sue Ryder received a £5,000 grant from The Recovery and Resilience Fund. The funding helped the charity to reshape its service offerings in line with Covid restrictions and guidelines. It also enabled the charity to recover lost income and remain resilient. This helped them to continue to support local families in need of extra help at this difficult time.

Sue Ryder provides palliative care and supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they are there when it matters. They have seven hospices and four neurological centres across the UK in addition to an online bereavement community.

Here in Gloucestershire, they have a 16-bed inpatient unit and Day Hospice facility at Leckhampton Court as well as an expanding team of Hospice at Home nurses caring for patients out in the community, throughout the county. Their aim is to continue growing their provision so they are able to provide more care for more people.
